A Look Inside Organized Charm's New Etsy Shop!

Last week, I made a pretty big announcement. Who decides to throw an Etsy shop into the mix with finals rapidly approaching? And not just normal finals... but the culmination of one's graduate school career? Oh, that would be me. No big deal.

And even though it has been a lot of work to get everything in the shop set up, I have to say that I am SO, SO happy that I decided to do this! I already have 10 (yes, 10!) printables available in the shop and I'm adding another one today! YAY!

Before I officially announced this shop via OC, I wanted to be sure that I could successfully create "mini" planner pages... and guess what? I can! And I, of all people, am totally thrilled about that!

So this post is dedicated to the shop! Kind of like a cheat sheet / tour / what to expect!

(And who among us doesn't love to know what to expect, right?!)

Okay, so here is everything I can think of to tell you!

PICTURED: Daily Checklist with Timeline and 5 Categories

Who: The shop name on Etsy is "Organized Charm"! (obvious one, right?)
What: Mix & Match Planner Printables
(like, YOU choose what YOU want to have in YOUR planner)

*Items Available:

Full Size (8 1/2 x 11)

Mini Size (5 1/2 x 8 1/2)

*Coming Soon: More mini printables! Including a Cleaning Schedule, Daily View, Finance Tracker, Month at a Glance, Year at a Glance, and more options for weekly views!

PICTURED: Horizontal Weekly View

Where: Etsy (AKA the website equally as addictive as Pinterest)

When: This shop technically opened on Monday... but it's grand opening is TODAY! YAY! :)

PICTURED: Year at a Glance Printable

Why: I created this shop because I wanted more options/control over what goes in my planner. And if I wanted that, I thought that other people might be looking for that, too!

PICTURED: Month at a Glance

How: These are instant downloads, which is super convenient! If you've ordered from Etsy before, then you are familiar with how it works. But for those of you who aren't so familiar with it...

Here's how it works!

1. Login/Visit Etsy
2. Choose the printables that you want/need/love the most!
3. Checkout
4. Download your new printables!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy! :)

Have you used Etsy in the past? Did you have a good experience? What kinds of printables would you like to see in the shop?

Trending: 3 Things to Try This Weekend

I don’t know about you, but I am so completely excited about this lovely first weekend of spring! We have had our windows open non-stop for the past few days and it feels INCREDIBLE! Whether you’re spending time at the dog park, on a weekend getaway, or taking on a huge organizing project at home, here are some quick little things to try over the weekend!

A must-do for anyone who runs a website! Peek is a website where you can request a {free} user review of your website in video form. Then you are e-mailed a 5ish-minute video of a random stranger navigating your site and making suggestions about its usability. Constructive criticism at its best!

Doesn’t this look amazing? I pinned it last summer from Hello Paper Moon and completely forgot to try it (and yes, it’s even simple enough for me to make). It seems like it will go perfectly with all of this lovely warm weather we’ve been having lately!

The most important thing to try this weekend is to stop complaining! “But I love to complain," you say. I know. Me, too. Which is why I’m trying (hard) to use more positive language in my life lately. Also, are you following a-thousand-words on tumblr.? Because it’s filled with non-stop encouragement!

Let me know if you tried any of it. I hope y’all all have a wonderful weekend!

Trending: Memphis Fall Fashion

Last month, my husband (the hot, slightly creepy-looking guy below) and I were invited to do a fall fashion shoot for a local magazine highlighting some of the most awesome boutiques in Memphis.

The issue came out this week and I have been lusting over a few of these pieces:

Sheer army-green top by Haute Hippie
Tan lace cami by Haute Hippie
Burnt-red jeans by Legacy

(Honestly, these jeans may change my mind about being strictly a “dress person”.)

Black and gold bead necklace

(I am the biggest fan of giant, chunky necklaces. The bigger, the better.)

-

Titanium ring

(I have never felt as tough as I did wearing this ring. Yes, please.)

Black bag by Vince Camuto

(Something terrible might happen if I do not own this bag soon. It’s perfect.)

-

Pink button-down blouse by BLVD

Gray-and-black stripe dress with open glove sleeve by R&R Surplus
Faux fur vest by Love Token

(Pale pink and gray is one of my favorite color combos… obviously.)

-

“Double Shift” flower ring
“Shake Rattle & Roll” fan necklace

(I could not have invented more appropriate jewelry for myself if I tried. Perfectly pretty and girly!)

Happy Saturday, y’all! :)

Trending: Mid-Semester Energizers

Lorde.
I cannot get enough of this station on Pandora.
This girl is gorge and she can sing.
Plus, her hair is awesome.

Coffitivity.
First of all, this name combines two of my favorite things in the world.
It makes me feel like I’m studying in a charming little cafe.
AND, if you stream it online, it’s free!

My Mid-Semester Diet.
This has basically been my lunch (and dinner) on nights when I have class.
Since hummus is oil-based, it can go a while without being refrigerated.
And Naked drinks are lifesavers when there isn’t really time to eat.

 Strengthening Study Snack.
(Bagel w/ Cream Cheese & Honey)
Republic Coffee in Memphis serves this on their menu and it’s incredible.
Honey is a superfood... bagels have carbs to replenish energy...
And cream cheese is just downright heavenly.

Yogi Tea.
Mid-Term season always leaves me feeling more than a little run down.
This tea is organic and is the perfect little boost to keep going.
Plus, each tea bag comes with an inspirational message.

(like a steamy fortune cookie)

Trending: Oregon Wine Night

So, wine night is just the best. Good friends, great appetizers, chick music, and (of course) WINE!
This week we chose 7 bottles of wine from Oregon.
Each one was less than $15.

Here were the (my) faves:
(Click the name to find out more!)

Caprese Skewers.
And I made Caprese bites which have nothing to do with Oregon…
But they certainly are delicious!
And easy.

Such a fabulous way to end the week!

Trending: Farewell to Summer

Free People.
I got this dress at the end of summer last year for 75% off and I’m probably wearing it in every picture I’ve taken since then. Seriously.
Can I just say that Free People is one of my favorite stores?
And that puppy was just the perfect accessory.

Reed’s Ginger Beer.
I had never even heard of this until my parents made me a cocktail with it over the summer.
It is nonalcoholic, organic ginger beer (they also have ginger ale).
Plus, the bottles are just adorable.

Big Hair.
Recently, D and I were invited to do a fall fashion shoot for a local magazine.
The colors were mostly black and red.
And this was my hair.

Halloween.
My favorite Pottery Barn catalog is the Halloween edition!
Its arrival in my mailbox is like Christmas morning.
Yay for Fall’s upcoming arrival!

Lana Del Rey.
Let me just say that, when it comes to music, we live under a hipster rock in this house.
I never even heard of Lana Del Rey until May (yes, this May).
I am definitely making up for lost time.

Trending: New Orleans Edition

The Somethin' Else Cafe, New Orleans.
The brunch at the Somethin’ Else Cafe is perfection.
(French Toast with Vanilla ice cream!)
The food, drinks, view… amazing.
The people are crazy friendly.
This place is just the best.

Jackie’s Boutique.
If I could move into this store, I would be almost as happy as if I could move into Anthropologie.
Jackie's in Jackson Square has the most fun collection (and the hugest mirrors) I've ever seen.
They are reasonably priced, the clothes and accessories are precious.
I shop here every single time I visit this city.
I just can't get enough!

Hotel Monteleone.
Seconds from everything and built during the gorgeous turn of the century.
This was our first time staying here and it was absolutely wonderful.
A carousel bar that actually rotates in the lobby.
A beautiful garden & pool on the rooftop.
I felt just like Daisy Buchanan.

Royal House Oyster Bar.
Royal Street is like the Blair Waldorf version of Bourbon Street (superior in every way).
We found this perfect restaurant at the corner of Royal and St. Louis.
Oysters on the half shell & Crawfish Ravioli.
Incredible service & SoCo Mint Juleps.
This just became our new fave.

9.10.11
My clever husband got me actual cotton for our "cotton" anniversary (along with a dress from Jackie's). September 10th has officially become one of my favorite days of the year.
This was our 2-year anniversary.
Best anniversary ever!
I love him!

Trending: Two Year Anniversary

New Orleans.
To celebrate our anniversary, we are headed to my favorite of all cities. Our spontaneous itinerary is already planned...

Paris Fever.
Most females my age have "baby fever" but not this girl. For me it's "Paris fever" and it's getting worse with each day.

Fall Wardrobe.
We are downright ready for our fall clothes. And that's it.

Chocolate Anything.
I seem to require more chocolate than usual this week. And our local grocery store opening an adorable little bakery counter isn't helping.

Pre-Wedding Nostalgia.
"Remember that time at our... Rehearsal dinner... Engagement shoot... Wedding shower... Pre-wedding meltdown(s)..." This is the time o year that we totally relive those moments again and again.

Trending: Fall Semester Kickoff

Mind Snacks.
I can proudly say that this is the first game I have ever downloaded.
In the past week, I have downloaded French, Italian, and Spanish.
These games are so fun and much cheaper than Rosetta Stone.

Daiquiris.
And not the glass full of a frozen, sugary-mixture we see at the beach.
The kind that Hemingway and Fitzgerald drank and wrote about.
The kind that requires real fruit.

Here is the recipe for this refreshing, summer-y deliciousness:

1 freshly squeezed lime
1 teaspoon sugar
2 ounces gold rum

*Shake with ice and strain into martini glass*

Best of all, no obnoxious blenders required.

Preppy Paradise.
I don’t know what it is about the fall semester that makes me want to dress like a Kennedy.
But I do know that I love transforming my wardrobe with the seasons!
Welcome to four months of whale and horse silhouettes for this girl.

“Mexican” Coke.
That’s right. Why?
It has 0 High Fructose Corn Syrup.
Which means that it actually is “refresco”!

SlugBooks.
I don’t know how I made it through undergrad without this website.
Probably because I wasn’t paying for my own books, so I didn’t really care.
This website is simple and compares the prices of textbooks from all across internet.

Trending: Welcome to OC

Organized Charm.
I am so glad to finally have a place to put all of those (thousands of) random photos I take daily.
I love organization, productivity, efficiency, time management, and planning.
And now I have a way to organize all my loves.
Yay!

 Birthdays, galore.
I feel like everyone I know was born in August…
which is fine with me, since it is the perfect month for celebrating!
Warm weather, no tuition, summer cocktails, and cute dresses?
Yes, please!

White.
We have painted nearly every room in our entire house white.
It is feeling so much bigger, brighter, cleaner…
and we definitely need all the help we can get!

Social Media Science
Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of research on the best times to post things where.
Here is a list of what I learned are the Instagram filters that garner the most “likes”
(in case you’re nerdy enough to care about things like this… like I am):

1. Hefe
2. X-ProII
3. Lomo-Fi
4. Normal
5. Earlybird
6. Rise
7. Valencia
8. Amaro
9. Brannan
10. Hudson

Turquoise.
Aside from pink, turquoise is the color that makes me the happiest!
We spray painted these hand-me-down chairs that we inherited from D’s old roommates.
I love this color SO much!
